Bloomsbury Restaurant
Located on the first floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downing Street, Bloomsbury is a surprisingly decadent restaurant in the centre of Cambridge with views of the street below and an impressive international menu. Decorated in golden colours the dining room is open all day and Bloomsbury is popular with business travelers as well as locals, students and their out-of-town families, and day-trippers. Situated between Christ’s College and the Corn Exchange, the Crowne Plaze is only a short walk from the River Cam, the shops and King’s College and is the perfect place for post-punting meals. The restaurant has a live pianist every Saturday night, and is a fun spot for Sunday lunches, afternoon tea and business dining.

Brasserie Gérard
Located on Bridge Street in Cambridge, this delightful French brasserie is a relaxed place for business dining, family lunches and romantic tête a têtes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Brasserie Gérard attracts a well-heeled local crowd who adore the fresh French salads and traditional dishes such as the quiche Lorraine. With its stellar service, moreish menu and cosmopolitan vibe, Brasserie Gérard is a firm fixture on Cambridge's dining scene, and we love classics such as the Croque Madame made with ham, Gruyere and a fried free-range egg; the Roquefort salad with gem lettuce, raisins and walnuts; and the demi-poulet roasted chicken with herbs and served with frites and a honey-mustard sauce.

Café Naz
The latest addition to a small chain of celebrated Indian restaurants, Cambridge’s Café Naz follows a tried and tested formula which guarantees a great meal. Specialising in Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine with a contemporary approach, Café Naz is modern and attractive in décor, with a buzzing, friendly atmosphere. Charming staff make their visitors feel welcome and the sleek décor waves goodbye to the old days of flocked wallpaper and swirl-patterned carpets. However it’s the food which really sets this restaurant apart – original, exciting and tempting dishes based on traditional recipes. Unusually for an Indian restaurant, Café Naz also prides itself on excellent desserts full of Eastern flavour.

De Luca Cucina & Bar
De Luca Cucina Bar in the heart of Cambridge is a stylish spot to enjoy food, wine, cocktails and coffee - all in a vibrant atmosphere. The cocktail bar at the front is perfect for coffee and light meals in the day and cocktails in the evening. An open kitchen provides real excitement with Head Chef Darren Kiegher and his team preparing simply delicious Italian food using locally sourced ingredients. We love the beef fillet on a bed of spinach in a gorgonzola sauce with hand-cut chips. The dining room is a smart, skylit space in the modern style. With a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere and attentive service, De Luca Cucina is the place to be.

Galleria
The Galleria restaurant in Cambridge has the most brilliant location at the foot of Magdalene Bridge beside the River Cam, just in one of the deepest parts where the punters come unstuck. With a pair of terraces beside the river, diners have a ringside seat not only for the punting circus, but also for the pleasure of one of England’s loveliest views. This three-level continental restaurant is light and airy, romantic and pleasant, with wrought-iron balconies, ferns, French prints, bistro-style seating. Signature dish is poached fillets of monkfish in lemongrass with sweet red chilli cream sauce and tiger prawns with leeks and mushrooms served with rice. The very reasonable wines tend to favour Old World vineyards.
